About Me

Living the Unexpected Life

I've spent the past 15 years living in four countries on four different continents. Malaysian by birth, I went to University in the USA where I studied Communications and Psychology, before moving to New Zealand where I worked as a journalist and then writer/editor for several Lifestyle magazines with a focus on food, wine and travel. I met my German husband there, and a few years ago, we moved to Baden-Baden in Germany, where I currently live with my husband and two little boys who're living their best life in a small German town. My favourite pastimes when I'm not busy being 'mum' are finding new, interesting places to dine, beautiful wine to taste, and dreaming of my next travel destination. I can also be found occasionally helping out at a specialty wine store in Baden-Baden, hosting wine clubs at my home or organising wine events for English-speakers in Germany. Words are my passion and how I perceive and make sense of the world around me, and I hope to share a little bit of my world with you. Welcome to Life, Uncorked.
